CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The CSR is all about how companies manage business processes in order to make a positive impact on the society. CSR has become an integral part of Cey-Nor value system and in its continuous efforts to fulfill its social responsibility, contributed in the following manner during the recent past.

•	Cey-Nor is a friend in need. When the fishermen in Sri Lanka were helpless after the Tsunami on 26th December 2004, it was Cey-Nor that came forward to assist those affected. The Value of repairs to the fishing boats carried out by Cey-Nor on behalf of FAO is approximately RS 132 million.
•	A successful eye clinic which catered to the needy in one of the poorest sections of Sri Lanka, was held in Weerewila in the Hambanthota district. This will now be an annual event.
•	A blood donation camp was held in June 2006 and over 200 pints of blood was collected.
